This Tailored Vest Is What My Summer Wardrobe Was Missing

Vests-as-tops (i.e., worn with nothing underneath them) are easily one of summer 2023's biggest style trends, and I was thrilled when Reformation introduced its own entrée into this category, the Aspen Linen Top. (There are also excellent versions over at Attersee and Chloé.)

While I'm all for a billowy, breezy linen moment, I love that this waistcoat offers a more polished, structured way to wear the summery, breathable fabric. The detail of the vintage-y, gold-rimmed buttons is special touch, too.

Ref shows it styled with denim, heels and a simple Sade-esque braid, and the whole combination is pretty much exactly what I want to be wearing from now through September. (Though, since I'm not sure I'm ready for my own belly-button window moment, I'll likely be going with a higher-waisted style of jeans myself.)
